Thanksgiving Message to New Yorkers
|
Dear Fellow New Yorker,
Every year, Thanksgiving is an
important time for families and individuals to gather and recount the
blessings of the past year and appreciate all we have been given.
This year's Thanksgiving comes at
a particularly challenging time for New York State, as residents on Long
Island, in New York City, and the lower Hudson Valley are still feeling the
pain and effects of Hurricane Sandy. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I urge
all New Yorkers to consider pitching in during this holiday season to help
and give whatever support possible to assist families and individuals who are
beginning to rebuild and recover after this devastating storm.

In difficult times, New Yorkers
are always the first to lend a hand to help their neighbors, and it is this
spirit of generosity and kindness that keeps our state strong and united. I
wish all New Yorkers a happy and blessed Thanksgiving.
Sincerely,
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo
