About Us

As a long time residents, home owners and proprietors, we are excited to see the amazing growth that is happening in Brooklyn, especially in the Prospect Lefferts Gardens (PLG) community. Like the extensively rooted Maple trees in the area, the voices of the community are resilient, yet adaptable, robust, yet sweet and most of all, colorful. BK Stand Up is our platform to share our PLG voices with you.For more than three decades, we have been sure to stand up for the dream that we want realized: A safe community, patterned with cultural diversity, embracing of the arts, accepting of individuality, rich in small business and stimulated by education. Over the years, we have seen the transiency of the Prospect Lefferts Gardens residents, but we remain deeply rooted. Through this blog, we will share information about community events and share experiences had with some of the fabulous residents and shop owners in the area.
